I was read a column in “Jang newspaper “that was written “Sleem Safi” title of his column was “Jirga” and topic name on that he was written “What I give answer to Afghani’s friend”.
So I share with you and please read this material and comments on it.
In 2009 Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Prevaz Kiani visited the Swat, 7 Feb. He went to the Mahamad Agency and there he met the Political agents and increased the fortitude of the soldiers who involved in operation. In 2 May he visited South Waziristan. Where he met the civil-Administration and public agents and also got information about difficulty of soldiers and their casualties. In August He again visited the Swat and advised the army officers to celebrate the 14th August (Independence Day) with special arrangement so that colors of Swat people life once again come back.
On that advised a very special programme arranged by Army on 14th August. Army Chief also visited the different cities of South Waziristan as well as North Waziristan. In these cities he met political agents’ civil-administration members and listen the people problems and difficulties. He has not visited only those cities in which operation is running but he also visited the Peshawar city (Capital of NWFP).Which are not involve in operation but now a days this city target of suicide attacks. In Sept. he visited the Peshawar Lady Reading Hospital and Police Headquarter and also met the brave citizen of Peshawar. Who saw the way of their politicians? In other word we can say that Army Chief is not only chief commander but also president of these tribal areas. No one politician visited these areas due to operation but only visited these areas Army Chief. I met Asif Ali Zardari when he was released from jail in Karachi. During conversion he said I am buying a house in Peshawar and I will stay in this house every week but after became the president he forgot all things even Peshawar people difficulties and problems that they facing now a days. Many political leaders who elected from Peshawar and other Tribal areas they has been left there due to operation and security threats. They settle in Islamabad. They also presented a constitution in Parliament to a lot the houses in Islamabad to NWFP members because they feel threats in NWFP. Some days before I met my Afghani’s friend he said to me you Pakistanis criticized Afghanistan president and you said our president is mere of Kabul but your president just mere of Islamabad because our president visited different cities of Afghanistan but your president could not it. I feel shame and tried to change the topic. Any government spokesman or politicians tell me what I give answer to Afghani’s friend. In Pakistan most of works done by Army then what are doing Politicians?What do you think?
